All the servers we use are hosted by professional datacentres, and managed 24x7 by their professional technicians and server administrators. In the event of a web hosting problem with one of the servers or server networks, it may not immediately appear on this page, however the datacentre technicians will usually have already identified the issue, and will be working on resolving it as soon as they can. Please don't be alarmed if there currently appears to be an issue with a server, but it doesn't yet appear on this page, as we operate this page independently from the datacentres. This page will also normally only be updated during normal New Zealand business hours.

If you are experiencing an issue with your Website Hosting or Email, please also check our Troubleshooting Your Website FAQs or our Troubleshooting Your Email FAQs, to make sure that the problem isn't at your end or with your ISP, home/office network, or your computer..

RSS Subscribe .NZ domain Management Control Panels - We provide clients with Full Control
Posted on 21/07/11 06:47PM

As you may have seen in the media recently, there have been issues encountered by some .NZ domain registrants in New Zealand who use different domain registrars.
They claim they have not had direct management control allowing them to manage their domain names though a domain control panel via their domain provider.

We would just like to reassure and confirm to all our clients, that we provide ALL of our own domain name clients with FULL CONTROL over their domain names, though our New Zealand developed Domain Manager system at www.domains.loungenetwork.co.nz .

Through our Domain Manager, all our clients have full control to manage their domain names contact details, alter DNS settings, instantly generate UDAI codes, as well as renew and register domains in real-time. This does cost us more to provide to our clients, but we believe in giving our clients full control over these things, so they can make changes anytime.

If you are not currently our client, but are interested in switching your domain name to our Domain Manager system, so you have also got full control over your domain, you can transfer it for free by setting up a free domain manager account at www.domains.loungenetwork.co.nz . Alternatively you can contact us to transfer it for you. All we need is your .NZ domains UDAI code.

This announcement only applies to clients on our Corporate and Business Class Hosting plans.

We are pleased to announce that we will be upgrading our webmail installation in order to provide a better user experience. This will offer our clients the newer verison of 'ATMAIL' .The new version of the software contains a whole new set of features which we are excited to offer. Very few hosting providers provide this webmail software due to it's cost, so we are pleased to be able to offer it on some of our Premium grade hosting plans.

The scheduled maintenance window for this upgrade is due to occur below.

Start Time: 19/07/2011 07:00 NZST
End Time: 19/07/2011 08:00 NZST

During this maintenance window we will be importing all of your data from the previous installation, which requires the database to be locked until maintenance is complete. This means that our current @Mail installation will be unavailable for the duration of the update.

Horde webmail, POP and IMAP services will continue to be available throughout the maintenance window, with no expected disruption.

We thank you for your understanding while this work is completed, and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

RSS Subscribe Scheduled Maintenance: Mailbox Storage
Posted on 11/07/11 10:18PM

This announcement only applies to clients on our Corporate and Business hosting plans.

In order to keep up with increasing demands for storage performance and capacity, our providers will be performing maintenance on one of the mail storage nodes.

Start Time: 13/07/2011 00:00 NZDT
End Time: 13/07/2011 06:00 NZDT

During this maintenance window, we will be migrating mailboxes from the servers that they are currently stored on to new hardware. This will improve the performance of mailboxes via POP and IMAP, and reduce delays in mail processing.

POP and IMAP services will unavailable during this maintenance window - the symptom that will be experienced is a password prompt.

No mail will be lost, as all incoming mail will be queued on our mail exchangers. Outgoing mail and authenticated SMTP services will continue to function as normal, but saving a sent message to the Sent folder via IMAP will fail.

We thank you for your understanding while this work is completed, and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

RSS Subscribe Spamcop spam scanning service failure affecting some email accounts
Posted on 01/02/21 11:00AM

Dear Customers,

Please note that due to a Spamcop spam scanning service failure, our upstream providers are experiencing an email sending outage on some of the email accounts. This is a Global issue affecting email providers all over the world that use Spam Cop. It is affecting the New Zealand based hosting network, and as Spamcop is a third party service, it is outside of our upstream providers control. Our upstream providers technical team are monitoring the situation closely and have been assured by their third party provider that it should be corrected soon however there is no ETA on this. This page will be updated.

--UPDATE--

This appears to have now been resolved. Apparently the cause was Cisco / Spamcops domain expiring, and a delay by Cisco in renewing it. Due to this, it resulted in propagation delays across the internet and during this time some emails were bouncing any others weren't . It is still possible that some emails from some email providers may still bounce depending on when they last flushed their DNS cache. This should correct itself over the next few days as DNS caches update themselves across all providers around the world. Cisco and Spamcop are a third party spam filtering service that email providers all over the world use to reduce the amount of spam that email servers get, so this has affected email users and providers all over the world.

--UPDATE--

Please note that this email outage issue is now resolved. Cisco, the upstream provider with the SpamCop email solution acknowledged fault due to a domain expiry. Read more at https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/spamcop-anti-spam-service-suffers-an-outage-after-its-domain-expired/

Thank you.

RSS Subscribe Wellington Earthquakes and Office disruptions
Posted on 14/11/16 01:36PM

As you may already know Wellington and upper parts of the South Island were rocked by a severe earthquake this morning, causing quite a bit of damage. The regions continues to be rocked by severe aftershocks. We hope everyone is safe and ok across NZ.

Our main office has been disrupted by the Wellington earthquakes. As a result of the quakes, we have had periods of no power or internet  access. So this may affect our ability to respond to enquiries during this time. We may have more power outages as aftershocks continue to strike our offices.

Our web hosting services however are not affected in anyway. The servers are housed in professional datacentres in Auckland, Wellington and overseas, and are designed to withstand these types of earthquakes. So please bear with us during this time.
